YMS (Yard Management System) manages vehicle handling upon arrival at the plant—notification, booking a time slot on the ramp, gate entry control, and warehouse coordination. Simply put: TMS stands for "transport between locations," YMS stands for "handling at a location." The best results are achieved by implementing both systems in integration—the TMS order automatically generates a notification in YMS, and the YMS status updates in TMS after the vehicle has been serviced. The notification contains key logistics data: vehicle registration number, driver information, type and quantity of goods, order number, and estimated arrival time. Processed in the YMS system, it replaces scattered emails, phone calls, and Excel spreadsheets, eliminating errors, duplicate reservations, and queues at the gate. In L.YMS, delivery notifications can be created in three ways: via the web panel from a logged-in account, by email without creating an account, or by text message, meeting the varying needs of regular and occasional carriers.

Excel is effective for very small scale—a few notifications per day handled by a single person.
